I love this! It’s become very inclusive, the design flows well, and I love talking with the characters! I really liked Postknight 1 anyways, and you can really tell that this game had a lot of work put into it. I really love the run feature when going from place to place on the home screen because it makes it feel a lot more personal than sliding the screen like in Postknight 1! I like that now I can see what strength/agility/health numbers I have. Some lag, but that’s to be expected w/new games

I pre-registered for the game because the first game was delightful! However… I’ve been kicked out of the game twice and it takes me several minutes to make it through a 5 line conversation with some of the npcs due to the lag/freezing issue. I’m giving three stars for now and will re-upload at a later date to hopefully be able to play.

Cute little RPG-lite type game. I was a little put off by the change in art style from the first game, but it has grown on me. Adds a bunch of fun new mechanics on top of the original game, so if you’ve liked the original I bet you’ll like this one more. I can’t give it 5 stars at the moment, however, as the game “hitches” somewhat often, especially on transitions in menus and loading new areas. Occasionally it will even hitch during combat, which is a tad disruptive to the fun gameplay.

Cute graphics, but they seem to be incredibly taxing, because loading taxes absolutely foreeeeeeeever. Coupled with excessively long and an excessive number of required cutesy cutscenes it makes for a rather dull wait. It doesn’t even appear to be something I could pay to make go away. After that 30th time I beat a level, can I please skip the awards? The controls…aren’t? There doesn’t seem to be an explanation nor purpose. And if you mistime it sometimes the game crashes…

Great game. Just loading times killing the pleasure. I’m literally planning my morning game activities in a way to have the lowest amount of loading screens. Despite that, definitely worth it. BTW Also delivery quests are annoying since you have to make series of clicks couple times to: chat (always same), pick up the rewards, chat, pick up the loot, wait for loading screen, chat, pick up the rewards. After picking the same quest 2nd time it would be great to be able to turn on auto collection.

I simply can’t recommend the game in its current state. There are numerous bugs all over the place, so many that I can’t even list them all, ranging from mildly inconvenient to infuriatingly debilitating. Some bugs can and will get you killed during quests. The number balancing for certain bosses and enemies are ridiculous, taking any strategy out of the equation and becoming huge stat checks requiring lots of overleveling. This game needs a lot of polish, but the potential is definitely there.

I played the first game religiously and got Postknight 2 as soon as it was available. However the game is very buggy. It freezes during combat, loading times are long, and it crashes pretty often. I’ve also come across visual glitches and gameplay glitches. I can’t listen to music/podcasts or have any other apps running while playing, Spotify/YouTube/etc crash during loading screens. I do love this game, but I hope the many bugs get ironed out soon so I can play without issues.

For such a silly, simple game, I really enjoyed the first one. This one seems to have addressed the gameplay weakness of the first title and overall is very fun. It’s still silly, simple, cute, and kinda dumb. Happy postknight makes the end of each stage perfect. That said, it has some major performance problems! It progressively slows down until it crashes, so there’s a major resource leak. And it’s pretty frustrating, since it’s crashed during unrepeatable scenes.

Many people have already pointed out the performance problems but my biggest complaints come from the combat. There should be no difference in physical defense and physical ranged defense; the physical damage reduction stat is a good indicator of this. There is no magic defense built into basic armor pieces outside of shields, so you’ll be taking nearly full damage from magic attacks only mitigated slightly by the magic damage reduction stat. With that too though, knockback is a killer: if you get attacked by two or more ranged attackers you’re set to take damage greater than you would against 5 or more melee enemies. Time to recover from knockback is a bit too long as well: if you get knocked back by one melee enemy you might not recover quick enough to activate a skill before the next one comes in. Additionally, heavy weapons are worthless: they’re too slow to catch up to fleeing enemies and the vague stamina mechanic makes it unreliable to use, and they aren’t even very strong to begin with. And a quick point, but enemies crit far too often, about 1 in 4 attacks. But combat aside, I like the characters and their colorful personalities.

There were lots of bugs when I first installed it, and there are still plenty now, but I expected more (bugs) from such a small development team with a early access game. I don’t really mind bugs all that much, so this game has been really enjoyable for me. Loading times definetly need to be shorter and the game needs to be optimized, but nothing is ever perfect. Even though this game is not perfect it is still fun. Not the best gameplay but it is still fun even if a bit formulaic. Great story.

Love the game and its just as cute and fun as the first one if not more. I love the new weapon diversity and larger skill pool. Just one thing, please fix the connection issues. I never had an issue in the original pk but this one lags when doing almost anything and now won’t even open without being stuck at 99% loading. I would love to give 5 stars but it just bugs me way too much.

I absolutely adore this game. The artstyle is beautiful. I love the customization. The story and the characters are a delight, and the gameplay is simple and fun. My little salamander buddy greatly improves the game, though I do wish it was a bit easier to get other pets. I’ve only had one issue so far that was fixed by reinstalling the game; otherwise, it runs great!

Definitely my favorite mobile game I have played thus far. Fantastic and adorable artstyle, tons of content, simple gameplay with intuitive controls that can be quite the challenge at times, and a shockingly engaging story. Not to mention the microtransactions are not mandatory for progression and are not predatory. What keeps this game from being a full 5 is the overall bugginess of the game, which can be quite annoying, still it’s well worth your time and is a definite 5 with more polish.

Not much for me to say other than, great game. Graphics are cute, the combat system is really simple, and it doesn’t take an arm and a leg to play. Only issue is the constant crashing, most likely it’s my phone but it gets annoying after completing a level and having to restart over and over. In general, perfect game, would recommend.

I absolutely love the game so far! The tutorial flowed great with the story and game play. The story itself is nice and I love the characters. So glad customizations of your character is here, though it would be nice to be other races besides human. It does freeze sometimes when I’m in the middle of fighting but not for so long that I lose a fight and the game is unplayable. Overall, awesome game!

EDIT: Had an error with my google play that showed my original review as removed and the devs were courteous and helpful in responding to the issue. I’ve edited this review to match the original Mechanics seem good, but the characters and story events are painfully stilted and off putting. I loved the 1st game even though it had some of the same issues, but they’ve really leaned hard into the worst bits of character design and plot structure. I am fighting the urge to uninstall until I’ve finished pompon, but I shouldn’t have to. If you don’t mind skipping a bunch of awful conversation after every delivery, give it a try. Otherwise, play the original instead.

I love this game. The graphics are cute, the gameplay is nice, and I just love the overall theme of the game. However, I have a problem with the app force closing all the time, so I have to give only four stars. It will start lagging and chugging a bit, then I will lose progress on one of my patrols or runs and have to start over. Please fix this and I can update to give stars!! Update: Game hasn’t crashed since this review! Updated to five stars. I love this game!! Thank you Kurechii!!

Great game, I only have a few complaints. The gameplay gets a little slow at times, mainly in combat between waves of enemies or when a cutscene is starting or ending, there is no way to speed things up and it takes several seconds for the next thing to happen. I hope more content is added to it in the future, because there doesn’t seem to be much to do after the main story.

Cute characters and fun gameplay, but around level 2-25 (Perolla Falls) the difficulty spikes start. It feels like the equipment & potion upgrades can’t keep up with the levels after a certain point. The game enticed me as something that looked dynamic but casual & simple, but got too grindy and slow to progress, so I don’t feel like playing it anymore. For someone more into slow progress on stats & equipment, this may work better for you.

Loving the game so far! It takes the aspects that made the original great, and improves them by a vast margin. There is one issue, however-the crashing issue is back. The game had slowed over time, with occasional stuttering, then went to 1-2 second lag spikes. Finally, during an end of adventure dialogue, it crashed.(Separate issue- loading screens; lags so bad you only see 1-2 frames, then ends and returns to normal fps.)Please try to fix this issue, if possible. Seen it on many other apps too

I love this game. Fun gameplay, great art, and it’s easy to play and hard to master. However, my 3 stars is for its connectivity issues. The amount of times I’ve been booted from the game with perfect wifi on is ridiculous ESPECIALLY right after a level. The level I did is made null and void and it’s infuriating – even more when I get good loot and get booted. I have to restart everything and I also don’t get the loot I wanted. Other than that needed to be fixed, it’s a fun game.

Game is definitely a massive improvement from the original Postknight, and I’m loving how clean and fluid the animations are, as well as the new systems, but the game crashes very often, to the point where it can be unplayable at times. I’m going to continue playing, but the crashes are something that need to be fixed; other people seem to be having the same issue as well.

  45. Rebekah Beavers says:

Unfortunately, this game is unplayable. It crashes occasionally, but that is not the biggest issue for me. I encountered a bug that prevents me from entering any kind of combat with a heavy weapon, including the patrol quest needed to advance past C-level, the lowest level. I literally cannot advance in the game as a result. Multiple bug reports later with no response and no fix, so here’s my 1-star review, as promised.

For a free to play game with no real pay walls it is fun. There is a good rpg system, and as long as you don’t rush things it will feel like a natural progression. It is a fairly short game at this stage, and no real reason to come back once you finish. EDIT: I did check out the new update, which added one new town, including the gear and npcs you’d expect from that. I did finish it (except the gear and npc bond) in a day, so my statement still stands.

I love the gameplay and the graphics are adorable, but I’m having quite a few minor bugs. First, when enemies are knocked off the screen, every so often they will just get stuck there on the screen, blocking my view of the other enemies. Second, whenever I use a heavy weapon, at some point in the run the stamina will just freeze. If it freezes at a point when I have a decent amount of stamina, I can continue using the weapon, but if I don’t have much stamina, there’s no way to finish the run.

A wonderful game! The first one was my childhood growing up. Except, I’ve been very frustrated with how many times the game breaks down/freezes/lags, and how I had to reboot it. It takes away the excitement and fun from the game. The graphics, characters, and music is always amazing. But the signal/internet connection (??) Is just the most huge problem everyone is having :'(

Game is great and fun but to riddled with too many bugs to be fully playable. These include abilities not working, sprites staying on screen after death and the one that is probably going to cause me to uninstall is when I went to finish upgrading a piece of armor instead of uprading it removed it from my character and now I have to buy it back and reupgrade it. This erased about a week’s worth of grinding. Support has been slow to respond and unhelpful.

Now this would have been perfect if the exams weren’t so hard! Some things they don’t tell you! And don’t even get me started on the timed trails (you either die OR worse case you run out of time) it is VERY frustrating. But this game is cute and stuff… but I also don’t really like the dialog as it’s not very well done as it will result in the same sentence afterwards but with a different reaction (I also wish there would be a 3rd but more savage option) other than that it’s a good game.

  57. Shawn Steele says:

It’s cute and simple, but you get completely roadblocked very early on by difficulty caused by janky mechanics/poor tutorials. It’s extremely easy to get stun locked/chain stunned, and there’s nothing you can do but close the game and wait for your health to come back. The pacing of this game is absolutely horrible after clearing chapter 1. Looks polished, but the execution was extremely lazy.

It’s extremely easy to get stun locked/chain stunned, and there’s nothing you can do but close the game and wait for your health to come back. The pacing of this game is absolutely horrible after clearing chapter 1. Looks polished, but the execution was extremely lazy.

Postknight 2 is a great game…if it wasn’t for the plentiful amount of bugs. Don’t get me wrong, this game is a huge predecessor to the first Postknight. A lot of mechanics, like a punishment for not talking to others and mindless ranking up, have either been redefined or improved upon. However, the amount of bugs puts it to shame. 2 stars for now, when the bugs get removed I’ll up it to 5. Edit: Changed main issue to one where the game is unable to save progress, making playing it pointless.

Take it from someone who has an unholy amount of hours in this game, everything about this game is incredible except for the combat and the bugs. You will be constantly stunlocked in literally every area of the entire game by projectiles unless you use a hammer, and I don’t enjoy hammers. No gamebreaking bugs so far, but there are two equipment collection achievements I’ve finished that refuse to pop. Postknight 2 is so, so close to being great, but it’s hard to recommend a paralysis simulator.

I absolutely adore this game! This is the first game since LN that gave me the feeling of wanting to completely finish the game! It can get super hard at times and you might need to keep retrying a certain level which can be definitely infuriating but, the satisfaction that follows when you beat that level is exquisite. Also, I haven’t gotten any bugs like the other reviewers. I’ve crashed a couple times but I didn’t lose data or anything important thankfully.

I loved Postknight so I was really excited when I found out the sequel was released! It’s just as fun to play as the 1st one with the charming characters & hero on a quest plot. But, there are a few bugs. The red notification on my skills won’t go away no matter what & sometimes the game crashes, especially in event cove. I wish food buffs wouldn’t be active when the game is paused or closed. Lastly, while I love that the game is actually free-to-play, I wish there was more bang for your buck.

I like the way the game plays but there seem to be some issues with mechanics. One thing that I noticed is the parry mechanism. It seems like it’s supposed to work when the knives separate but it never gets the actual parry off. Ives seen some bugs with the main menu screen as well. Has good potential just needs a few fixes

No advertisements, adorable art style, and active developer team! The game sports a simple combat system that’s easy to learn but hard to master, making sure you get punished for not paying attention. There is a bit of grinding present, but not a ton to ruin the experience. Lucky, a community Discord server is always there to lend a hand if you happen to get stumped somewhere. I hope to see more great things out of this game!

Really underrated. Loved the previous game and I’m glad the sequel stayed with its roots, while adding more ontop of it. The game is really simple and easy to get back to playing after not playing for a long time. Did I mention no random ads interrupting the gameplay? The only complaints I had were performance issues and the game being online only, though the performance issues have seemed to be fixed. I usually don’t leave reviews, so I wish you all the best.

The game is very enjoyable and addicting, and is unlike any other mobile game ice seen. Minimal ads, cute artstyle, nice gameplay, great story, and hours of content. I’m not sure if I just need to get good, but I’ll sometimes get stun-locked when a group comes at me, and charging into a group can sometimes lose me a huge chunk of health to contact damage. The crashing problem was fixed, which is very cool.

This game is perhaps the best mobile game I’ve ever seen. The gameplay, at times annoying, isn’t really all that challenging if you try new tactics and persevere through. The story is simplistic, but there are subtle hints of what’s to come if you’re observant. The characters are simply charming (except for Jasper… I genuinely don’t remember how I met him. Expand on him?). My only issue is that you don’t really get to bond with a certain dark-haired girl, which I feel is a missed opportunity.

Good game, but I’m really frustrated when Almond shows up in a level, I lose my parry for my dagger. Feels like I’m being forced to brute force the game with stats. The game overall is great, but this one thing is some of the worst design I’ve ever seen. Edit: Looks like they fixed the issue and was unintentional. This is probably one of the best mobile games you could get with how attentive the developers are and how the game doesn’t slow down if you don’t spend money. Changed to five stars!

I love the graphics for this game as well as the simplicity. No annoying ads. Just a nice game to relax with. *Well since you asked. Maybe a quick bar on the main town screen would be nice so one doesn’t have to walk to the sign to patrol or change town. Not a real problem but would be nice. Other than that I’ve experienced some glitches when doing the cave adventures. Or bad lag when dealing with certain town npc. Hell I’ll tap 5 star anyhow.
