I’m running exhausting in this textual content journey recreation to make it higher on a daily basis with the truthful love of the textual content rpg style.
I’ve been playing for about two hours and having fun with it. The gameplay is fun and the fights are rewarding; the skill tree system looks pretty hefty, as well There are definitely a few kinks to work out, though: 1. There are a lot of grammar errors in the dialogue that need to be worked out 2. Those duel fights are pretty unfair. The elemental can stun you and break in the same attack multiple times, making it impossible to kill 3. Definitely need some skill and weapon balancing

Strong concept, great start. Quite a few grammatical errors, which I can overlook for a great game. But I hit level ten and was suddenly unable to beat any of the fights available. Maybe I’m just bad at the combat, but without any way to grind out gold or exp to make myself strong enough to compensate for that for those of us who may not be brilliant combat strategists, the game hits a solid wall. No point in continuing to play now. Pity, as I was genuinely enjoying it.

I cant seem to defeat any enemies past level 6, they are insanely strong , or cast a million poison and bleed debuffs on me. I love the whole idea of the game, I just cant seem to fight monsters without dying a few times first.. so, i hope it is slightly updated soon. EDIT: I cant exactly pinpoint which monsters because it is all of them in general, not being able to see enemy stats before attacking makes it extremely hard to combat enemies. you either do or dont have the right items or skills…

Works well with talkback. A lot of effort was put into making this blind friendly and that’s much appreciated. All prior issues that I had with the user interface have been addressed, making this a fully enjoyable experience from beginning to end. This is a good and challenging strategic rpg. Grammatical errors are being patched, turning this into a more polished experience through and through. I especially enjoy the combat as it keeps you thinking about your opponent’s strategy. Keep it up! 🙂

This game was absolutely phenomenal. Great gameplay, with a well though out story and fleshed out characters. The story kept me interested enough to make me want to see about trying a different playstyle in a new play through. I can’t wait to see what kind of updates are coming up for this, as well as seeing how the story progresses after the way it ended.

Very frustrating but very rewarding. Structured like a CYOA game, but plays a bit more like a chess game. I was surprised to find it even gave me hard choices during certain moments. I will definitely continue playing when it gets more updates. Need more games like this! I should note however, the crafting felt very limited and I could never find enough of what I needed.

This game is amazing. This is my first time playing a game like this and I am really enjoying the experience. However, I good thing to add is a feature on which allows me to organize my skills based on what they are (preparation spells physical) that way it is easier for me to visualize my abilities, that or I have OCD. But it would make it way better for me rather then unequipping and equipping over and over to have the same class skills together.

Very excellent! Truly free to play! The only (minor) complaints I have are: every icon and button is larger than it needs to be. So it looks a little crowded. Having them slightly smaller, are able to be adjusted, would be great. Second, some challenges are not able to be completed anywhere near when they are presented. That’s annoying. But it’s also rare.

One of the best word-based RPGs I have ever played. Well presented. Good Story. Enough art to keep it from feeling like just reading a book. I do think gold should be a little easier to get. And there are many word mistakes (overlooked errors and extra words; doesn’t seem like a translating issue. Just needs some proofreading.) Otherwise it’s very descriptive and engaging.

I initially rated this game a 5. I’m completely stuck with nowhere to go because the enemies are impossible at this point in the game. I’ve tried every combination of skills and gear, but there is nothing i can do to get what i need. There needs to be more ways to get resources, decrease the skill cooldown times or decrease monster difficulty. Until then, my interest has expired. Edit: The quest is called The Skeleton Massacre. The one with three different skeletons you have to beat.

Amazing text based adventure. Absolutely stunning art. Written with care and passion. This game is a sleeper hit, all it needs is a little more polish and few more features to really flash out the game and make it stand apart from others in the genre but other wise absolutely well done. Edit: it’s hard to say what’s missing, perhaps a spell combination system. Maybe an armor enchantment. I think what feeling is that I want to have more autonomy over the my player. And a black Male character pls

Unexpectedly great game! I’m impressed with the variety of style builds available to tinker with–even as early as during the tutorial!Complex enough to stand out from the rest, yet intuitively simple to play. Just to appreciate what’s out there in the text based/choose your own adventure RPG genre, I often download & toy around for just a day or two before moving on. This game, however, will stay running in the background for the foreseeable future as my daily time killer. And such minimal ads!

I liked this game a lot at first, but at a certain point the enemies get really difficult. Not challenging, but straight up difficult. One of them can literally two-shot you. And there’s no way to grind and level up and boost skills. Got too frustrated to play any more. If there was an easier way to grind, it would be a lot better, but as it is, it’s just frustrating.

Fun game, and fairly interesting story. Though the rate at which you obtain gold versus how often you need to buy “updated” gear, makes it difficult to progress in the game. Perhaps increase gold rewards a little bit or add a way to gain gold faster aside from the creature battles. Also, you should look into someone peer editing the writing. A lot of grammar errors in each chapter, as well just bad writing. “He got” appeared 5 times in one paragraph during The Restless Dead quest, for example.

Very good game with decent storyline, flexible character progression (skills and traits), and combat that requires thought and strategy. The only issue I have with it is that progress is occasionally halted because your gear isn’t good enough. In order to get the required gear, you need to buy the recipe for the item (which is expensive) and then buy all the materials for the gear if you do not have them (which is also expensive). This forces you to watch ads and wait for them to refresh.

Great RPG game. One of the best I’ve played for mobile. I love the characters and story. I do wish I could purchase more of the items needed for crafting though. After a time many items disappear and can no longer be purchased. I obtained a scroll to craft an axe that I could no longer make because I couldn’t make or buy the materials for it. I even tried 50+ animal battles on the map to try and get the items with no luck.

Challenging and thought provoking combat. Detailed and good looking system. The only reason I’m rating it 4 stars instead of 5, is because the text based choices often have little to no impact. You might be able to skip just murdering a random person who doesn’t know you’re there, but that’s hardly a meaningful choice.

Fantastic game. It contains a lot of classic rpg elements, a good combat system that makes fighting like solving a puzzle to win. There’s also a safety net boost if you’re having difficulty but after playing twice i can confirm it’s not needed, every fight is winnable. Definitely a work in progress, main issue is not being able to grind for rare materials in crafting. But considering there’s only one dev it’s a remarkable project and truly an enjoyable experience.

This game/interactive story is very well put together. Everything runs smooth on it as it transitions from menu to menu and so on. The story is good and the gameplay mechanics are pretty simple, once you get orientated. I do wish there was a chart or display that clearly showed you the benefits of all the gear you have all in one place. If there is one, I have not found it. The choices you make can have big effect or no effect, kind of like Skyrim, but that does not ruin it for me.

Revising down a bit. There’s a quest that seems impossible to complete, and an element that’s required for crafting several things which doesn’t seem to be available. …… Well designed. Actually has a plot. (I thought everything was random initially.) Can be a bit addictive. Have had the game freeze a couple of times, I think probably because a cache was full, or something along those lines. Restarting fixed it.

I can see why others complain, I was hoping it was exaggerated. The enemies can be very one sided. If your weapon is “weak” it is outright ineffective, like a 2 points of damage. Loot is given for a purpose, if you don’t equip it you lose your next fight and even then it may not help you. I love the idea, but it needs some adjusting.

I completed the game, lvl 21! The same strategy will not work on every fight. I didn’t need every spell to win. The hard battles, you need to find a pattern in order to win. I didn’t win every fight, I avoided some. I did reset my skills once. Runes are everything. One battle I never found the pattern. It was a bonus side battle though so it didn’t change the story. This is a great little game! Small grammar mistakes in the dialogue, but the writing content was compelling. 🙂 Excellent job!

I am thoroughly enjoying this. 1) I always respect it when the developer adds the “wanna skip the tutorial” option while also making the first few quests slightly tutorially 2) i really love the idea of “oh sheez you died, you can try that battle over or go through the scenario again to see if you can prepare yourself better” 3) NonIntrusive ads with the option to turn em off for a bit of patronage. It doesnt harm you for not paying. 4) lets your decisions matter (to an extent) I really ❤ this.

This game is great fun for those who enjoy tabletop rpgs, old school roleplaying games, or just love a choose your own adventure story. The game is multifaceted, and has plenty to keep your intrest. It goes back and forth between the text based adventure style and turn based combat, with a little bit of collecting to craft more powerful items. My only issue is that sometimes the text adventure portion feels too linear, but this game is made by one person afterall. I recomend giving it a go!

This was a very refreshing RPG game that involved a lot of cool mechanics and in-depth gameplay. Yes, there are ads, but what else would you expect from a free game at this level? And they aren’t intrusive, they only happen between quests. That’s a balanced trade-off for the game, in my opinion. The downside is the mechanics can begin to feel very repetitive after some time, and that’s how I ended up uninstalling the game. But that could just be me. Overall, really recommend the game!

A really beautiful game, seemingly made by a single person, which in and of itself is astounding. Very few ads, and those that do exist are short (6 seconds or less). Very indepth story (very important for a text based game), game play is very reminiscent of games like Divinity: Original Sin. Combat is intuitive, art is beautiful, compliments to the creator!

Very easy to learn and the story telling is pretty good. It flows better then most text based games I’ve played. There aren’t a lot of ads either so that’s appreciated. I like that you can either start a quest over if you loose a battle, or gear up again and go right back to the fight without progress loss.

Very much attention has been put into this and I love the game experience and provide feedback regularly to the dev team. But agreeing to others’ complaints, it is hard to get to level 10 unless you follow strict path, skills, and equipment. Although it is just beating unholys and perfecting those traits, you do need to think and seek those defenses. Those first 9 levels are a hard challenge. If you learn those you understand all the mechanics and it really opens up after that.

EDIT: This is a great game. Full stop. The issues I had were resolved by restarting my phone. The creator was very responsive and eager to help. Fun game but has issues with the ad server. I am no longer able to use the “watch ad to unlock free stuff” which makes farming difficult. It tries to connect for 30+ seconds and then times out. Very frustrating for an otherwise 5-star game.

An engaging game, good idea. The progression is linear though and once you reach an opponent you can’t beat there is no other path to continue play, dead end, game over. While there is a mini game to gain points for a rebuild it takes more time than the actual game and is therefore a waste and ruins a good game. Either add optional quests available to continue advancing or make the opponents beatable by multiple means so any character would have a chance to win.

Way more than I expected. The story really picks up as you move along. The perk system seems really punishing for a misclick. “Undo last” functionally would be appreciated. Also not sure if it is intentional or not, but the cost after resetting for each perk is based on current level, so you can’t really reset unless you are sitting on a huge stockpile of gold

Good game, writing is a little poor with grammatical mistakes and modern slang in a fantasy setting which feels odd and breaks the immersion. But good strengths/ weaknesses of enemies, and use of activated skills and cooldown management. Very well thought out and clearly a lot of work put in. A labor of love. Edit. I initially took away a star for the writing but as I play more I see the work has gone into making the fights challenging but doable, in other words fun. 5 star game all the way.

Didn’t think I was gonna like it at first, but this game is actually pretty awesome. I’m level 11 right now. No pay walls yet. Grinding is minimal if you buy what you need at the time. No forced ads. I love that every adventure you can still go through every room for a chance to pick up anything left behind. Storyline is interesting. No annoying timers. Nice strategic fights, not overly hard but still require some thought. Can’t say enough good things about this game so far. Great job.

This has definitely been one of the better text based adventure apps I have played. Though, it’s not so much a “choose ypur own adventure” as it is a “Solve the Order Puzzle” game. That said, it is fun when you find the build that gives you just the right synergy to beat a mission. I also like how the game lets you miss things if you don’t explore, as that really gets me involved in seeing the effort that went into the mission design and writing. A very fun game so far!

Neat little gamelet, that has amusing text. It is a fantasy scenario iconoclast conflict and adventure setup. You don’t need to pay, and can watch ads when you sellect them instead, or pay a little for less ads, and faster acquisition of ad awarded parts. The little payments help support the app. It is still being expanded – 2 chapters beyond the first one, modifications, and additional parts, have been added since I got it. You can play a bunch offline.

Very good game that clearly had love put into it. Some things aren’t intuitive, like how essence works or how to grow perks (which is a little unforgiving). It’s also frustrating to try and reach into various builds but having specific skills be so difficult to acquire that it doesn’t quite play out, and you have to work with whatever falls in your lap and claw your way through some quests. If I could make a suggestion, setting saveable skill builds or equipment sets would help. Otherwise great!

Decently put together as a game, but it is so linear and leaves NO room for character customization. You are forced to buy certain things, do things and switch out gear just to finish a quest, which is ridiculous. Would be a great game if it were more generic and not needed to buy extra stuff, switch out gear, and complete certain requirements just to finish one quest.

I love the graphics! The skills are varied enough that you dont feel limited, and you can play as just about any class you want, and even switch as often as you like. The quests are sometimes a little much, but you can usually beat them eventually. I do wish the quests on the world map gave you exp though. It would make it a lot easier to get strong enough to beat a tough opponent in the tavern. Overall though, I love it!

Excellent Challenging game. This game is a really fun adventure that requires very precise decision making. Fun story, great characters. I think my only complaint is that there isn’t much of an opportunity to grind for certain materials or stats, so often you will be stuck with limited supplies and now way forward if you don’t make the exact right set of choices.

Some clunky writing in rare spots and the ‘watch ad, get reward’ function are the two biggest flaws. The two biggest places for growth are more ‘paths’ in each adventure and some more options for repeatable duels on the map aside from the critters. Oh! And maybe bring more attention to the codex in the tutorial section?
