Great app for saving clips and notes from podcasts. The main benefit is the integration with Readwise. Would love some more playback features like volume boost, trimming silence. Or general podcast player features like archiving episodes or creating playlists. Overall great app for what it does, can’t wait to see future updates.

Could be 5 stars if BT headphone sniping worked. Needs to have an alternative sign in option other than companies like google, which is currently the only way to sign in… Add signing up by email at the very least, that’s basic. Otherwise it seems like a great app, the breakdown of segments and speech to text is very well done. This app has the potential to be one of the best ever.

I like the idea of it but needs a lot of polishing. Will revisit in 6 months. Hangs on open 1/4 the time. No archive functionality. Played podcasts often not in history. Confusing UI. No easy queue navigation like in Pocketcasts (swipe up, etc). Podcasts take too much real estate in list mode, need compact format. Snipd parts not entirely intuitive. Transcripts not too accurate… and should have search word functionality. Sometimes just won’t play when I hit play.

My favorite podcasting app and I’ve tried just about all of them. This app has a great interface and I like that you can swipe to add/delete episodes from your queue. I also think it’s funny that the focus of this app is it’s note-taking feature but the experience using baseline features outshines all of it’s competition. This app is not perfect but it’s pretty darn close.

Fantastic app. Best podcast app. I was looking for an app where I can just listen to my favourite podcast and I got not only beautifully design app. Utterly with extra features. Recording important parts. Having transcript (for some podcasts). Having highlights. And it’s free. Wow

Really great app. Couple of suggestions though. Can you make exports that are over 1:05 min long when exporting to video? This’ll help me share to others without using links. Can you also add auto queuing for new podcast episodes? Also, I never use the “For You” tab because it would seem more useful to me to have auto snips from my subscriptions rather than random podcasts on that tab. The “Your subscriptions” page should also have unplayed counters for each

Looked for this app for a decade! oh God… it’s more than awesome even at this early stage!! can’t explain how good it is in words. It even allows you to export your highlighted moments to Markdown file!!! I’ve no doubt that the developers are time travelers. it’s the future of all podcast apps. Just please don’t block the currently free great features behind pay wall when you get more famous 😁❤️

I love how I can save parts of the parts for future reference and for taking notes. The AI transcription is not perfect but useful in most cases and it’s smart enough to accurately recognize chapters. I’ve had a few glitches once in a while when using a Bluetooth headset, the audio would stop but only for this app. There are also some interface tweaks that can be made such as allowing a playback history when there are no Snips. This app is becoming my daily podcast listening platform

Snipd is a really great way to easily keep notes on your podcast. They’ve done an amazing job of providing transcript while dealing with dynamic ad insertion and it’s been a real game changer. It’s missing some features I enjoyed on pocket casts (like auto cutting silences) which might be tough to implement while keeping the transcript on point.

I love this app. It’d be just perfect if they implement the transcription for other languages other than English. Otherwise, I like very much the option of both Notion and Readwise integration as well as Obsidian exporting. Edit to point out that I’ve noticed that when transforming a snipd into video to share, the defined extract and the audio don’t match. Is happening only to me or is it maybe a bug? Thanks for your amazing work. 😊

Great idea with spotty execution – I love the idea of being able to snip audio and the accompanying transcripts, but I’ve found that the app will regularly ‘rewind’ about 30s and then cut off the last 30s of a podcast. This has been true both on my Android and iOS devices. It seems to be a bug that’s not harmful, but is annoying

This is the app I’ve been waiting for in the Podcast area. This app allows me to capture the important things in a podcast that I would normally forget because I’m driving down the road. What a great solution for building a second brain. Well done Snipd! My only request is some way to export to Evernote. Even export to Email would be fine and I could send it to Evernote then. My second brain is in Evernote. This would then be perfect.

Here I want to talk about the biggest feature of this app, which is the AI that can produce an amazing transcript With highlights moves with every word in the episode for any podcast for free which makes it the best podcast app all over the world in all languages, Also the download is free for all podcasts with any number of episodes you want to download from any podcast, with great control features such as controlling the speed of speech and 10 sec prev or next and the timing of turning off.

The app has a ton of potential but I’ve been using it months and there’s still tons of glaring bugs and issues. It closes randomly, stops playing randomly, disconnects randomly. Lacks a ton of Quality of Life features that other apps have. The snipping feature is great but you can’t just do it from the lock screen without binding it to your forward button. It could be good, but they haven’t made it good yet.

I really like the app. I feel the snip feature and ability to have transcripts is great but and it’s a big BUT it’s supposed to be a podcast player first and this is where it fails. It randomly stops playing and when you are on the move you can’t just check my mobile and play it again and again. It’s very frustrating, I hope the bug is fixed soon.

This is the best podcasting app if you want to keep track of what you’ve listened to. The ability to create snips, read a transcript, and have chapters available for any podcast has made this my favorite podcast experience. There are some small issues with each of the unique features it has, nonetheless, it’s still early in development and has so much potential. The biggest, albeit still small, criticism I have is with some UI design choices.

This app is absolutely incredible. Easy to use, decent UI, but the ability to snip, or take notes really, from podcasts without having to pull out a pen and paper is a game changer. I listen to podcasts while driving and used to scribble key ideas on a notebook I kept in my car, then would scan those notes later. Snipd let’s me save an idea with a touch (sometimes I have to edit later to get full concept) and SHARE THOSE IDEAS VIA AUDIO. Transcripts and highlights are a bonus. AI is amazing. Luv

I have been amazed by all the features the app provides the user with, it is pretty useful; The most used podcasts apps doesn’t provided me with what I wanted and so far this one has been amazing, I really want to see how it progresses.

This app has so much potential, I hope you guys don’t screw it up when the time comes to monetize it. Great job so far and an incredibly useful service. (Btw, it be very useful to there be a way to organize the podcasts for those of us with large libraries)

The most unique app for listening to the podcasts, that I have forgotten to use a pen and paper to take notes from podcasts! It’s like taking notes from a book just that the notes are digital and the book is audio. Just love the app so much so that I have never even skipped a day listening to the podcasts because I know I have notes to recall everything here. Thanks for such a wonderful app.

I can’t believe how this app is for free with these many features. People are sleeping on this app. Best in the podcast category. Has transcript. Has snippet sharing. Hire me for marketing. Y’all need to reach higher levels

It’s an excellent choice and my most loved podcast app but the only downside and the only thing that initially made me resistant is the lack of podcast sorting and the podcast filtering features like those in pocketcasts besides there should be a toggle to have either snips as default screen or the podcast one bcz for me personally podcasts are my first priority so I’d prefer that or otherwise it’s like we open YouTube for videos but default screen is shorts and that extra tap could be annoying

Simply amazing. They’ve changed the podcast game by resolving a means to access such an enormous volume of content out there. I use this app every day, multiple times throughout the day. Remove your other podcast apps. This is the only one you’ll need.

Great app but making snips is not very intuitive, it would be great if i would be able to make snips from the transcripts to take a quick snip itself rather than having to pause to edit a snip. If this feature could be worked on this app would be the best podcast player.

This one is better than Momento, but it’s still super buggy. Frequently crashes and doesn’t remember your place, refuses to play when plugged into the USB/AUX cable in my car (this is the big one – I listen to most of my podcasts while driving, and this won’t let me do that), and a host of other little maddening things (like, there’s a screen for in progress podcasts…and it doesn’t show the episode I’m in the middle of). I’ve emailed questions multiple times to devs – not even acknowledged.

I love this app, but it needs far easier access to adding private notes to a snip. It used to be super simple. Now, to make it easier for new people (but how so? If anything it’s hiding a feature from them), it’s actually hidden behind 3 taps. That’s too much for frequent note taking. Please make them immediately accessible, at least on the edit screen itself. Update: imho private notes are not a confusing feature, new users would likely seek them out and be frustrated at their seeming absence.

I’ve tried different podcast apps but I always go back to pocketcast. This one have finally upstaged it in my view. From the customizable Snip feature to transcript creation/highlight, and the easy to use swipe to add to play next/last on queue, Snipd is the best podcast app there is and I have no doubt about it. Of course there is always room for improvement as I’d prefer it to automatically request transcripts of all downloaded or queued episodes.
